Hey guys!
I'm Yumi KOBAYASHI, an assemblyman of Suginami Ward.
Today I'm writing this diary in English, just because I wanna do so.
(with Ai YOSHIDA, a Suginami Ward assemblyman, and staff members)
Though it's too hot here in Suginami, we'll try hard!
We are now working for the 24th upper house election campaign.
Hiroshi YAMADA, a former mayor of Suginami Ward, stood for the election.
Unlike the lower house, the tenure of member of the upper house is six years, and the national election is held so that new members replace the half number of the original members.
The election of the upper house contains two types of elections:”the electral zone election,” where candidates are chosen inside the zone residents live in and ”the propotional representation election,” where a candidate is chosen by every Japanese who lives in Japan.
Hiroshi YAMADA is running for the latter type of election, so every person with Japanese citizenship is able to vote for Hiroshi YAMADA!
On July 10, let's go and vote in the upper house election.
